Tuesday Team News...
CBY: Barba, Turner, Morris, Idris, Lett, Keating, Hodkinson, Tolman, Ennis, Paea, Pritchard, Ryan (c), Stagg. Bench: Eastwood, Foster, Payne, Halatau.
[Team Changes - Grant Millington has been replaced by Jake Foster in the only change from Round 8. Jamal Idris is in some doubt with a wrist injury, while Michael Ennis has a rib problem. ]
STI: Boyd, Morris, Stanley, Cooper, Nightingale, Soward, Hornby (c), Hunt, Young, Weyman, Scott, Creagh, Prior. Bench: Green, Fien, Cuthbertson, Merrin.
[Team Changes - The team named is unlikely to resemble the team that plays on Friday Night. Despite Darius Boyd returning at fullback, Kyle Stanley seems long odds to play after his ankle was in a bucket of ice late in the game last Sunday and despite not being named due to his own ankle injury - Mark Gasnier might in fact play. Jason Nightingale, Jamie Soward and Jon Green return to the team after being injured/rested last weekend. Ben Creagh has an ankle injury of his own but has been named. Jack Bosden and Mitch Rein are on the bench again this week - there is no sign of Nathan Fien. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
This is the Bulldogs best chance to knock off the defending premiers as the Dragons didn't have last weekend off like the Dogs - and had a host of players back up from rep duty. But I'll stick with the Dragons - even without Mark Gasnier - but will particularly be interested in how Jamie Soward plays... and if he's fit.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - Mark Gasnier will not play - if the game was Monday he would have been a chance but he will be saved for State of Origin 1. Jamal Idris will play despite a wrist injury. Darius Boyd will play after overcoming his hamstring injury.
The NRL Tweet's Tip...
DRAGONS To Win By 7 Points.

Tuesday Team News...
PEN: M Gordon, Simmons, Tahu, Tighe, Purtell, Burns, Walsh, Grant, Kingston, Civoniceva (c), Waterhouse, Plum, Lewis. Bench: Seluini, McKendry, Weston, Smith, Y Gordon.
[Team Changes - The return of Luke Lewis from a wrist injury is a big boost but the continued absence of Lachlan Coote with a groin injury is a real concern - he has been named to play NSW Cup but he is no certainty. Adrian Purtell goes onto the wing and Brad Tighe goes back to the centres with the omission of Michael Jennings due to a knee injury. Sarafu Fatiaki makes way for Lewis at lock, while Matthew Bell is omitted and Dayne Weston and Nathan Smith join the bench. ]
BRI: Beale, Copley, Reed, Hodges, Yow Yeh, Lockyer (c), Wallace, Hannant, McCullough, Kenny, Glenn, Thaiday, Parker (c). Bench: Norman, Anderson, Dodds, Hala.
[Team Changes - The Broncos bring back Justin Hodges, Ben Hannant, Sam Thaiday and Darren Lockyer from their rep enforced break. There is still no Josh Hoffman despite his return being tipped a fortnight ago. Nick Kenny starts at prop with Sam Thaiday back into the second row. Dane Carlaw has been demoted to the QLD Cup. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
Brisbane get all their rep stars back after a whole-hearted performance without them against the Storm last Saturday. That should be enough to overcome a Penrith team that would have enjoyed the rest after their run of poor form and the news that Phil Gould will be involved with the club again. But Brisbane should win... even if I think the Panthers are a real chance of an upset.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - The Broncos haven't seen Justin Hodges train this week but he is confident he will play despite the flu. Penrith will get Luke Lewis back from a wrist injury.
The NRL Tweet's Tip...
BRONCOS To Win By 8 Points.

Tuesday Team News...
MEL: Slater, Duffie, Nielsen, Blair, Quinn, Widdop, Cronk, Bromwich, Smith (c), Norrie, Blair, Proctor, Lowrie. Bench: Hinchcliffe, Vea, Woolnough, Lowe, Kostjasyn.
[Team Changes - All the rep stars pulled up well from backing up and are named to face the Raiders. Beau Champion dislocated his shoulder in the City-Country game and is out 4-6 weeks with Maurice Blair retained in his centre spot. Todd Lowrie is back at lock forward. ]
CAN: Dugan, Ferguson, Croker, Thompson, Robinson, McCrone, Orford, Tilse, Tongue (c), White, Galea, Harrison, Fensom. Bench: Buttriss, Miller, Mataora, Thurling.
[Team Changes - Canberra have obviously not learnt from the past 8 weeks of insipid football and have retained 16 of the 17 players who were dusted 20-0 by Manly on Monday Night. Late scratching Josh Dugan is named to return at the expense of rookie Nathan Massey. Daniel Vidot has been kept out of the side for the second straight week after Reece Robinson's 7 hitup for 43 metre performance v Manly. David Furner will no doubt go back to old faithful (the grind) to get a win and Canberra will be 1-9 after 10 Rounds. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
Melbourne will win this because Canberra refuse to play attacking football... unfortunately it really is that simple. Canberra still have some talent but if Melbourne show up with their heads screwed on - they'll lap Canberra by 20+ at AAMI Park.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - The Raiders should have Josh Dugan back from an infection after he missed the Manly clash, while the Storm will choose between Atelea Vea, Rory Kostjasyn or Jaiman Lowe for two bench spots. Matt Orford is reportedly out of the game with a groin injury, Sam Williams will start.
The NRL Tweet's Tip...
STORM To Win By 22 Points.

NQL: Bowen, Graham, Winterstein, Tonga, Fai-Fai Loa, Thompson, Thurston (c), Scott (c), Payne, Tamou, Cooper, Hall, Johnson. Bench: Bolton, L Ah Mau, T Sims, A Sims, Segeyaro.
[Team Changes - The return of Glenn Hall is a boost but the Cowboys are otherwise unchanged. James Segeyaro or Leeson Ah Mau will make way from the bench. ]
PAR: Hayne, Burt, Reddy, Loko, Atkins, Mortimer, Robson, Mannah, McGuire, MoiMoi, Hindmarsh (c), Lasalo, Smith. Bench: Rogers, Shackleton, Allgood, Horo.
[Team Changes - Jarryd Hayne returns from suspension at fullback with Etu Uaisele making way. Ben Smith continues to start at lock for Justin Horo who is on the bench. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
North Queensland gave the Dragons a fight last Sunday and are in pretty good form so they should beat the Eels at Dairy Farmers. Parramatta get Jarryd Hayne back and come off the bye so they will be fresh but the Cowboys with the likes of Johnathan Thurston, Matthew Bowen and Matthew Scott in great form (and are being supported well by the rest of the team) will beat Parramatta.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - Anthony Mitchell travelled to Townsville with the Eels and will come into calculations for a bench spot ahead of Billy Rogers. The Cowboys should have Glenn Hall back which will see James Segeyaro or Leeson Ah Mau miss out on the bench.
The NRL Tweet's Tip...
COWBOYS To Win By 7 Points.

Tuesday Team News...
SOU: Wesser, Merritt, Farrell, Corrigan, Roberts, Sutton, Sandow, Ross, Luke, McPherson, Taylor, Tyrrell, Crocker (c). Bench: Pettybourne, Clark, McQueen, Peats.
[Team Changes - The Bunnies are bleeding badly... Greg Inglis and Roy Asotasi have joined the injured list with Rhys Wesser and Shaun Corrigan coming into the 17 for them. Shannan McPherson starts at prop, Chris McQueen goes from the wing to a bench forward role and Michael Crocker is the skipper. ]
WTG: McKinnon, Brown, Ayshford, Moltzen, Utai, Marshall, Lui, Fifita, Farah (c), Galloway, Dwyer, Fulton, Heighington. Bench: Ryan, Murdoch-Masila, A Schirnack, Woods.
[Team Changes - There is no Bryce Gibbs for this one with an ankle injury keeping him out. Gareth Ellis also failed to be named with a similar injury. Beau Ryan stays on the bench as cover for Wade McKinnon's dodgy hamstrings. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
With Greg Inglis and Roy Asotasi joining the all-star injury list at the Rabbitohs it is hard to see the Bunnies beating the Tigers at ANZ. While the Tigers have their own injury list to deal with - Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah are playing and the forward pack stood back up in their win over Canberra before the bye. The Wests Tigers should have too much class here.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - Boom youngster James Roberts has been dropped for disciplinary reasons and will play Toyota Cup - Fetuli Talanoa comes in from the NSW Cup. The Tigers may get Bryce Gibbs back from injury.

TIGERS To Win By 20 Points.

NEW: McDonnell, McManus, Sa'u, W Naiqama, Uate, Roberts, Mullen, Fa'aoso, Hilder, Tuimavave, Houston, Costigan, Edwards. Bench: De Gois, Kaufusi, Paterson, Tolar, Taufua.
[Team Changes - Kurt Gidley will not play and Tyrone Roberts is named at five-eighth. Neville Costigan returns from a broken arm and Cory Paterson goes to the bench. Isaac De Gois and Mark Taufua join the bench as they return from injury. ]
WAR: Locke, Inu, Brown, Mannering (c), Vatuvei, Maloney, Seymour, Packer, Heremaia, Lillyman, Mateo, Taylor, Luck. Bench: Hohaia, Latimore, Mara, Matulino, Ta'ai.
[Team Changes - Lance Hohaia was been demoted from Test fullback to bench player in the space of two days and continues in that role for this game with Kevin Locke staying at fullback. Manu Vatuvei also returned last weekend with a stormer on the wing. Aaron Heremaia is back at hooker with Alahana Mara moving back to an extended bench. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
Without Kurt Gidley the Knights are surprising favourites given the impact he has on the team. Neville Costigan returning helps but the Warriors have won 3 straight and are playing open footy at a high level. Feleti Mateo is in great form and Manu Vatuvei returned from injury last weekend - the Warriors win if they don't get the jitters on the road.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - The Knights will give both Neville Costigan and Isaac De Gois until Sunday to be fit - both are making injury comebacks. The Warriors will likely leave Alehana Mara off their final bench.

Tuesday Team News...
CRO: Gordon, M Wright, Pomeroy, Best, Mills, Graham, T Smith, Snowden, Aiton, Douglas, J Smith, Tupou, Gallen (c). Bench: Cordoba, B Wright, Flanagan, Bukuya, Tautai, Vave.
[Team Changes - The return of Nathan Gardner was short lived with his ankle injury keeping him out despite the Sharks having the bye last weekend. Isaac Gordon starts at fullback with Stewart Mills on the wing for the injured John Williams. Taulima Tautai and Siosaia Vave are extras on the bench. It was revealed on Wednesday that Jeremy Smith hurt his knee in the ANZAC Test and will miss 2-4 weeks, expect Jayson Bukuya to start. ]
SYD: Minichiello, Naughton, Linnett, Kenny-Dowall, Leilua, Carney, Pearce, Waerea-Hargreaves, Friend, Myles, Aubusson, Anasta (c), Nu'uausala, Myles. Bench: Tasi, Masoe, Riddell, Symonds, Arona.
[Team Changes - The loss of Martin Kennedy is a big one but Brian Smith gets Todd Carney back which is a far bigger boost. Steve Naughton and Kane Linnett come in for Phil Graham with Mitchell Aubusson quite rightly moved back into the forwards. Tom Symonds goes back to the bench. Braith Anasta is in the second row and Nate Myles is at prop. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
With the loss of Jeremy Smith and Nathan Gardner to injury from their loss to the Bunnies - it is hard to even entertain the Sharks in this one. But the Roosters are struggling big time and despite the return of Todd Carney they are playing poorly. Despite a chance Scott Porter will take over at halfback - I expect Carney to have a big game and the Roosters will win.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - Todd Carney will play and Tinirau Arona will likely drop off the bench. With Smith out - Jayson Bukuya will start and Siosaia Vaea is likely to get a spot on the bench ahead of Taulima Tautai. There is some talk that Scott Porter will play halfback ahead of Tim Smith. Mitchell Aubusson dislocated a shoulder at training and is out, Tom Symonds starts.

Tuesday Team News...
GLD: Campbell, Michaels, Tonga, Thompson, Mead, Zillman, Prince (c), Bailey, Brown, White, Bird, Minichiello, Harrison. Bench: Henderson, James, Ridge, O'Dwyer, Lawton.
[Team Changes - Luke Bailey returns after missing the Warriors clash and Michael Henderson goes back to the bench. Brad Meyers announced his retirement from the game during the week. ]
MAN: B Stewart, Robertson, Lyon (c), Matai, Hopoate, K Foran, Cherry-Evans, King (c), Ballin, Kite, Watmough, Galuvao, G Stewart. Bench: Mauro, Buhrer, Rose, T Williams, Robinson.
[Team Changes - Brett Stewart made a successful return from injury but wasn't 100% due to a tight hamstring... he still scored 3 tries so he didn't struggle too much! Joe Galuvao starts for Jamie Buhrer and Jason King has been named to return from a rib injury that made him miss the clash with Canberra. ]
Wednesday Game Preview...
The Titans got lapped by 20 points last time out at Skilled and Manly just had a training run against the Raiders - which suggests the Sea Eagles should win this by quite a few. News that Nathan Friend might be out for the rest of the season won't help the Titans get up for this game as the last time these two teams played - Friend was outstanding. At home the Titans are always worth considering but they've fallen off the pace in 2011 and Manly are going very well.
Tipping + Fantasy Late Mail...
SMH Late Mail 13/05 - Manly fullback Brett Stewart should play - with the 7 day break good for his troublesome hamstrings. Ben Ridge is in doubt with a shoulder injury, with Kayne Lawton likely to force his way onto the bench regardless. Update Sunday - Brett Stewart is out once again with his hammy limiting him at morning trackwork from even cantering let alone galloping. William Hopoate goes to fullback and Dave Williams comes onto the wing. Jason King is also out.
