FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
34
              V
10
7:05pm (Local) 27 May @ Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.
NRLTweet Game Summary: What happened at half-time at Suncorp? Brisbane lead Manly 10-4 at the break but are run down deluxe. Manly 34-10 victors by full-time.
Injuries: Brent Kite (Back), Jason King (Ankle), George Rose (Calf), Ben Te'o (Arm)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Matthew Vickers
4 - Kieran Foran, MAN
Outstanding display.  It really struck home home good he is when you consider he is the senior halves partner in only his second full season, after playing alongside a rookie last year as well.  His banana kick for Brett Stewart was reminiscent of Andrew Johns.
2 - Brett Stewart, MAN
Probably deserves the 3 points for THAT pass alone.  His performance in this game typified what he means to the Manly side and why they need him on the field. Imagine what he will be able to do with some match fitness.
1 - Daly Cherry-Evans, MAN
Really coming in to his own in first grade. Great support play.
Judge: Matthew Duncan
4 - Anthony Watmough, MAN
Had a barnstorming game (Like he always seems to do against the Broncos) One the forward battle for Manly which gave Foran & DCE plenty of room th weave their magic.
2 - Kieran Foran, MAN
Is Class with a Capital C - Very controlled 1st half and then blew the Broncos away in the 2nd.
1 - Daly Cherry-Evans, MAN
The QLD halfback stocks look in good hands for a while yet. The Broncos sent a lot of defence his way and he didn't back away from the challenge. Support play was good too.

FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
28
              V
06
8:45pm (Local) 27 May @ Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Canterbury jump out to a quick 12-0 lead & it proves to be plenty as Titans continue to struggle offensively thereafter. Dogs win 28-6.
Injuries: Steven Michaels (Concussion), William Zillman (Concussion), Ashley Harrison (Shoulder - late withdrawal), Preston Campbell (Head Knock), Greg Eastwood (Eye), Frank Pritchard (Thigh), Sam Kasiano (Thigh), David Stagg (Hip)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Michael McLucas
4 - Andrew Ryan, CBY
No real standouts for either team but the Dogs captain played a good knock which provided a good platform for them.
2 - Luke Bailey, GLD
A lot went against the Titans, so not many would've blamed him if he lost interest but he just kept going. Top effort.
1 - Ben Barba, CBY
Showing his natural brilliance again with some electrifying runs from the back.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Ben Barba, CBY
Carved the Titans up the middle twice and was easily the most potent option on the field... only problem is the Bulldogs don't give him the ball enough when inside the attacking 20 to make the most of him. Still the best on ground despite the limited ball.
2 - Andrew Ryan, CBY
Belongs in the middle these days and finally was moved to prop to cover for the injured Aiden Tolman from the start of the match. Has an endurance level that younger players only dream of.
1 - Frank Pritchard, CBY
His two tries to open the game were great examples of how big an impact he can have on a contest... his lack of involvement there after also followed the Pritchard script. Still he contributed when it mattered so he gets a point.

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
08
              V
06
5:35pm (Local) 28 May @ AusGrid Stadium, Newcastle.
NRLTweet Game Summary: A serious pectoral injury to Knights playmaker Jarrod Mullen overshadows Newcastle's 8-6 edging out of Parramatta at AusGrid Stadium.
Injuries: Jarrod Mullen (Pectoral), Shannon McDonnell (Shoulder - late withdrawal)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Craig Buchanan
4 - Wes Naiqama, NEW
Scored the opening try of the match and made big metres when he shifted to fullback after the Jarrod Mullen injury.
2 - Nathan Hindmarsh, PAR
As always a very good all-round performance by the veteran. His efforts in attack and defence underpinned the Parramatta performance.
1 - Richard Fa'aoso, NEW
Returning from injury, Fa'aoso had a strong performance up front with a heavy workload.
Judge: Ben Hoese
4 - Wes Naiqama, NEW
Dangerous with every touch of the ball. Kept the defence guessing. Scored Knights only try with a brilliant solo effort.
2 - Joel Edwards, NEW
Pure aggression in defence. Carried out some of the hits of the year, lowering the Eels morale.
1 - Nathan Hindmarsh, PAR
The machine was nearly back to his peak after recovering from surgery. Made 100m in attack and topped if off with 53 tackles

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
20
              V
06
7:35pm (Local) 28 May @ Dairy Farmers Stadium, Townsville.
NRLTweet Game Summary: The Johnathan Thurston show continues to play at Dairy Farmers Stadium as the Cowboys win their 6th home game of the season to the tune of 20-6 over the Roosters.
Injuries: Steve Naughton (Collarbone)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Matt Spillane
4 - Johnathan Thurston, NQL
Was in total control of the game, and the Rosters had no answers for his magic.
2 - Tariq Sims, NQL
Started the game, and was like a man possessed in defence. Hit Anasta with the tackle of the season which saved a try.
1 - Matthew Bowen, NQL
Reliable as always at the back, and had the Cowboys sets of to a great start with some great kick returns.
Judge: Greg Delaney
4 - Johnathan Thurston, NQL
Another outstanding display from JT. Scoring a try himself and setting up another. Running game was on with 77 metres and 7 tackle busts. Also kicking game wielded nearly 300 metres.
2 - Tariq Sims, NQL
Running for a mammoth 157 metres and making 23 tackles he terrorised the Roosters all night, Sims could very well be Rookie of the Year.
1 - Gavin Cooper, NQL
Journeyman filled in the centres with aplomb making 120 metres and offloading 3 times.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOOTBALL
14
              V
08
2:05pm (Local) 29 May @ AAMI Park, Melbourne.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Cronulla push Melbourne all the way in a dour struggle at AAMI Park but the Storm draw level and then edge in front late to win 14-8 in Cameron Smith's 200th Game.
Injuries: Cameron Smith (Head Knock), Anthony Quinn (Back - late withdrawal), Luke Douglas (Knee)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Dane Neville
4 - Paul Gallen, CRO
Despite Cronulla losing, Gallen was best on ground with 20 runs for 183m, 5 offloads, a try assist and 35 tackles.
2 - Cooper Cronk, MEL
TBA
1 - Billy Slater, MEL
TBA
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Paul Gallen, CRO
The game was an arm-wrestle and backing up from Origin 1 - Gallen was the strongest presence on the field. Powered through his work and his inside ball to set up Isaac Gordon's try was a thing of beauty.
2 - Gareth Widdop, MEL
On an afternoon where scoring points wasn't easy - Widdop produced the two kicks that led to tries for the Storm. Yet because he's a relative no-name NRL Stats didn't give him a second try assist... something I'm still trying to figure out.
1 - Cameron Smith, MEL
Is a machine. Made over 50 tackles and in the first half he was dangerous running the ball. Was perfect with the boot and is just a quality footballer.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOOTBALL
24
              V
18
3:05pm (Local) 29 May @ WIN Jubilee Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: The Dragons set up their 24-18 win over the Tigers with a strong 1st half but go to sleep in the 2nd half to allow the Tigers to almost snatch it.
Injuries: Brett Morris (Hammy), Matt Cooper (Eye Socket), Matthew Utai (Arm), Wade McKinnon (Hammy - late withdrawal), Chris Heighington (Head Knock)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Haylen Southon
4 - Mark Gasnier, STI
Dangerous in attack and solid in defence. Had a line break to set up a Jason Nightingale try, and ended up scoring the match winner.
2 - Chris Heighington, WTG
Came close to several tries after being held up on three occasions in the first half. Gave his usual high workload and effort.
1 - Matt Cooper, STI
Scored the first try, and made a line break to put Brett Morris over for his. Great in defence again, despite suffering an eye socket and hand injury..
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Mark Gasnier, STI
When he gets some quality ball and goes looking for quality ball - he's just about as good a centre as the game has... behind Greg Inglis. But the key is getting Gasnier involved early then encouraging him to stay involved - he was just that against the Tigers.
2 - Benji Marshall, WTG
Took the Dragons on early and remained a threat the rest of the afternoon. When he runs the ball with some space there are few players in the game who look more untouchable.
1 - Chris Heighington, WTG
Two Tigers get votes because A. neither the Dragons or Tigers were particularly impressive in the game and B. In saying that Heighington was the third most impressive player on the field (duh!). Really had a dig in the opening half and defenders were rebounding off him deluxe.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
22
              V
10
7:05pm (Local) 30 May @ Centrebet Stadium, Penrith.
NRLTweet Game Summary: One of those nights for Chris Sandow, as the Panthers build their 22-10 win over Souths with a strong roll up the middle in the opening half.
Injuries: Issac Luke (Leg), Dylan Farrell (Leg)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Maria Tsialis
4 - Luke Lewis, PEN
The Panthers have lost for a lot of reasons this season - and one of them was primarily the loss of Lewis to injury. Made a push for Origin II.
2 - Dave Taylor, SOU
Taylor has had a rocket put up his backside following some unflattering comments by Gorden Tallis regarding the big man's form. Terrorised the Panthers all night.
1 - Lachlan Coote, PEN

The baby faced 'Cootie' is slowly getting back to full fitness, and with Michael Gordon gone, the Panthers need him more than  ever. Took the line on in stages and will only get better.

Judge: Justin Davies
4 - Travis Burns, PEN
Probably one of his best games for Penrith, tackled hard and got in the mix (sorry was Laurie Daley for a moment there).
2 - Luke Lewis, PEN
Enhanced his chances for Origin 2, with another good showing, scored a try and tackled his butt off.
1 - Issac Luke, SOU
He was the spark for South Sydney in the second half, which gave them life and some hope in the match.
