NRLTweet Game Summary: Canberra defended well but shouldn't get carried away with 20-12 win over Canterbury. Bulldogs obviously just needed more field position...
Injuries: Bronson Harrison (Shoulder), Joe Picker (Arm), Sam Mataora (Finger), Aiden Tolman (Knee)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Shaun Fensom, CAN
The stats say he got through 75 tackles but you didn't need to see them to know he was the main reason the Raiders kept repelling the repeat sets the Bulldogs had. Outstanding.
2 - Ben Barba, CBY
Still looked the most dangerous player on the field regardless of the fact the Dogs couldn't score points. Canberra were just lucky he didn't get more of the ball inside the 20m as the Bulldogs went boring when on the attack.
1 - Brett White, CAN
Took him a few years but in the last two weeks White has been very good for the Raiders. Shrugged off a tight hamstring to return to the game and made an impact... can't believe I just wrote that in a serious tone.
Judge: Matt Spillane
4 - Shaun Fensom, CAN
Had 75 tackles and 16 hit ups in a tireless effort from the hobbit who calls Middle Earth home.
2 - Joe Picker, CAN
The spud farmer was having a field day on the fringes and scored himself a try for his efforts.
1 - Nathan Massey, CAN
Did a fine effort filling in for Dugan. Was safe at the back and ran the ball back with some gusto.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Wests Tigers beat the Panthers 20-18 but they made every effort not to. Yes they were bad but Penrith never put them away either.
Injuries: Keith Galloway (Concussion), Travis Burns (Ankle), Luke Lewis (Shoulder)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Ben Hoese
4 - Andrew Fifita, WTG
Pure grunt football. Made a strong impact and good metres (117m) up the middle.
2 - Robbie Farah, WTG
Strong in a weak team. Several darting runs and two try assists.
1 - Lachlan Coote, PEN
Put a lot of effort in and fairly solid on his return from injury. Scored 1 try and setup another.
Judge: Haylen Southon
4 - Robbie Farah, WTG
High tackle count, and his ability to be creative all over the field sparked the Tigers comeback.
2 - Simon Dwyer, WTG
Scored a try and provided a line break assist to Wade McKinnon prior to the Tigers first try.
1 - Luke Lewis, PEN
Played much of the second half with a shoulder injury, but still managed several inspiring tackles.

NRLTweet Game Summary: The Warriors and South Sydney play out an entertaining if low scoring contest in Auckland, eventually won 12-6 by the home team.
Injuries: Jason Clark (Leg)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Craig Buchanan
4 - Ben Matulino, WAR
Played either end of the match and showed the form that got him into the test team. A strong display, big hits, strong hit ups and solid metres.
2 - Simon Mannering, WAR
Simon led from the front and had a impact. Made some big tackles and a line break.
1 - Dave Taylor, SOU
Dave had his moments but his strong runs, big tackles and good metres put into the votes ahead of any of his team mates.
Judge: Justin Davies
4 - James Maloney, WAR
Steered the Warriors around the park, with his kicking and passing keeping the home team on the front foot.
2 - Krisnan Inu, WAR
He's called Captain Snooze for a reason and showed the nickname fit with a bombed try and some lackadaisical efforts but he still kept himself busy and score the match winning try.
1 - Chris Sandow, SOU
In a losing effort, he was quite influential and almost won them the game, with his 40/20 late giving the Bunnies another crack at the Warriors slim 6 point lead.

3:05pm (Local) 22 May @ Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Sydney Roosters finally win their 3rd game of the season (1st since RD4) as they hold out the very average Knights 12-10 at the SFS.
Injuries: Lama Tasi (Ankle), Shannon McDonnell (Finger)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Todd Carney, SYD
TBA.
2 - Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, SYD
TBA
1 - Keith Lulia, NEW
TBA
Judge: Michael McLucas
4 - Anthony Minichiello, SYD
Looked like the Mini of old at different stages. Popped up everywhere and capped it off with a well earned 4 pointer.
2 - Aiden Guerra, SYD
Made good metres and looked dangerous on the left hand side. Did well to get the Roosters into good attacking positions.
1 - Neville Costigan, NEW
Another who looked good running wide. Created a couple of good chances and made his hits count in defence.

7:05pm (Local) 23 May @ Parramatta Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Parramatta dominate from the get-go and rip the Sharks apart 40-6 at Parramatta Stadium. Robson, Hayne and McGuire conduct the massacre.
Injuries: Shane Shackleton (Eye)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Greg Delaney
4 - Jeff Robson, PAR
Set up a number of tries and line breaks. Controlled the game for the Eels.
2 - Jarryd Hayne, PAR
Constant threat all night, looked dangerous with every touch.
1 - Luke Burt, PAR
Scored a couple of tries, always looked for work coming out of his own end.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Jeff Robson, PAR
Produced a beautiful sleight of hand to put Ben Smith over for the first try of the game and then went on a Try Assist rampage after that. Looked to have more freedom to try things with Daniel Mortimer out of the lineup and Casey McGuire alongside him.
2 - Jarryd Hayne, PAR
Why exactly isn't he in the NSW Origin team? Put his stamp on the game early by taking the line on and then cut the Sharks apart with his passing game thereafter. Star.
1 - Shane Shackleton, PAR
Was a huge factor early with his wide running making the Eels big metres and their halves worked well with the extra room and momentum.
NRLTweet Game Summary: QLD 16 def. NSW 12 to win Game 1 of 2011 State of Origin Series. Late Blues fightback burst by a Lockyer to Slater special in final minutes.
Injuries: Willie Tonga (Shoulder), Ashley Harrison (Shoulder), Kade Snowden (Arm/Shoulder)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Cameron Smith, QLD
The master controlled the rucks (superbly in the 1st half and well in the 2nd) and picked his times to run and when to pass with great skill. Defended his butt off yet still never looked gassed. Set up the first try with a deft little kick when NSW thought the ball was going to the right. Quality.
2 - Matthew Scott, QLD
He was sensational up the middle in both of his stints on the field. He is clearly the best prop in the game right now and only just missed out on Man of the Match to Cameron Smith.
1 - Michael Jennings, NSW
NSW's best player along with second rower Greg Bird. Jennings exploited his opposite centre Dane Nielsen with his speed and footwork and threatened to break QLD open on a number of occasions. Proved to be the right call at left centre.
Judge: Matthew Duncan
4 - Matthew Scott, QLD
Took another step towards matching the efforts of Shane Webcke at Origin level for QLD with a best on ground display. A beast up the middle.
2 - Cameron Smith, QLD
Was a genius around the rucks and just plays what is in front of him so well. Set up the opening try and made a heap of tackles.
1 - Michael Jennings, NSW
Was the Blues best player and gave Dane Nielsen a work-over on the left edge all night.
