NOT The Footy Show's Fantasy League - Phase 3 Entry Form (RD19-26)

FANTASY RUGBY LEAGUE 2011
PHASE THREE IS OPEN!

FANTASY LEAGUE PHASE THREE
ENTRY FORM

Matt - Finals Phase Player Tables - any errors/oversights that you can spot?

The 2011 NRL Season has seen the re-birth of a classic Fantasy League format that was made famous by Rugby League Week in the early to mid 1990s.

Here on www.wdnicolson.com we have brought back the easiest Fantasy League format in history to make running a Fantasy Team a joy rather than a weekly hassel and there have been almost 100 entrants in the first two phases of NOT The Footy Show's Fantasy League.

As we enter Phase Three - there is one more chance for you to beat the field and take home a NRL Merchandise Prize.

The scoring system couldn't be simpler - Players in Tables 1-12 get points for any Tries (4 Points) or Field Goals (1 Point) they kick in each game they play and Players in Table 13 (Goalkickers) get points from any Tries (4 Points), Field Goals (1 Point) and Goals (2 Points).

And given you pick your team for a phase rather than week to week - knowing you can sit back and enjoy the ride makes it extremely easy to play and worry free.

The tables for Phase Three were created at the completion of Round 17 of the 2011 Premiership - so any injuries that came after that are not factored into each table. While Johnathan Thurston hurt himself in Origin 3 - he should be back for the final few weeks so if you want to take a punt on him (or William Hopoate) that's up to you!
Phase Three begins in Round 19 and runs until the end of Round 26.
To enter your team simply pick one player from each position category and sit back and watch them do all the work. The Entry Form is below - but given entry is limited to one per person make sure you take special care in who you pick - because it will be the team you are given for Phase Three.
TIP: Scroll through the selections during the pre-season but don't submit your team unless you are really really sure it is the squad you want.
Get your family, friends and co-workers involved - you will find it is a Fantasy Game that anyone can play and it is far more engrossing than the more complicated statistical ones - because there's real time payoff for your selections when you're watching the game with NOT The Footy Show's Fantasy League.

HOW IT WORKS:
In 2011 NOT The Footy Show in conjunction with The NRL Tweet will be running a Fantasy League with a difference...
That difference is that literally EVERYONE can play and you don't have to wrap your head around complex rules or time consuming lineup changes every week.
You simply pick a player in each position for a set number of NRL Rounds (Called a Phase), then sit back and cheer your squad on as they go after the simplest of all scoring categories - TRIES!
So when a Player scores a try - he scores 4 points for your team.
No more waiting for 3 days for NRL Stats to upload their data - this is black and white scoring system - if they score the try you get the try...
RIGHT AWAY!
Players will also get any Field Goals they kick (1 Point) while there is a special category just for Goalkickers who receive Tries &and Field Goals PLUS Goals which are worth 2 Points.
This is the kind of Fantasy League you grew up on and it remains the the best system to engage and educate rookie players.
Best of all - its simplicity makes it great fun.
We're working on acquiring some prizes for each Phase - of which there are three.
Phase One begins in Round 1 and runs until the end of Round 8.
There is then a break for the ANZAC Test/Round 9 Weekend due to the small game schedule.
Phase Two begins in Round 10 and runs until the end of Round 18.
All State of Origin Tries, Field Goals and Goals will be worth DOUBLE.
Phase Three begins in Round 19 and runs until the end of Round 26.
To enter your team simply pick one player from each position category and sit back and watch them do all the work.
