Manly make the most of possession advantage; as Warriors can't mount any pressure of their own ... Brisbane continue to win with controlled footy; as the Roosters lose the plot in the wet ... THE NRL TWEET's ROUND 6 REVIEW
NRLTweet Game Summary: Canterbury show they can open up their game plan after all, punishing the Eels 34-14 after Hayne's head-nudge-butt. Barba the start.
Injuries: Jamal Idris (Cork)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Nigel Wilbow
4 - Ben Barba, CBY
3 tries and was safe at back, dangerous everytime he touched the ball.
2 - Aiden Tolman, CBY
It's getting boring Aiden... 33 tackles, 15 hitups, 142 metres - another big workload for Tolman.
1 - Kris Keating, CBY
Controlled the Dogs attack, run well with the ball and had the eels defence on the back foot.
Judge: Justin Davies
4 - Ben Barba, CBY
His superhuman try right on halftime brought the Dogs level and his third try, won the game & broke the Eels' hearts.
2 - Corey Payne, CBY
Strong all night, tackled to a standstill, popped offloads and set the wheels in motion for the comeback in the latter part of the first half.
1 - Kris Keating, CBY
Buried the demons of last week with a strong game, created a few tries and was dangerous running on the edges.

NRLTweet Game Summary: Gold Coast get out of jail for the 2nd time this season when Tigers go AWOL after leading 14-0. Titans score 2 tries late in 20-14 win.
Injuries: Alan Schirnack (Shoulder), Greg Bird (Face)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Michael McLucas
4 - Mark Minichiello, GLD
Good, tough performance this one. Always threatening with ball in hand and scored the winning try.
2 - Nathan Friend, GLD
Kept the Titans in the contest with great organization up the middle and set up the match winner was a classic example of his good vision.
1 - Luke Bailey, GLD
The point could've gone to Prince as well, but Bailey stood up when he needed to and showed real leadership.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Nathan Friend, GLD
The Titans are a much better team with Friend controlling the rucks in the middle. Gets through his defensive workload without a problem and his final pass to win the game was quality.
2 - Scott Prince, GLD
Still a little kick happy inside the 20m zone but he tied the game up with a brilliant show and go on Gareth Ellis.
1 - Robbie Farah, WTG
The skipper tried valiantly to keep the Tigers in front. He's not the biggest hitter going around but he makes a lot of important tackles up the middle.

1 - Daly Cherry-Evans, MAN
TBA
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Steven Matai, MAN
Ran the ball so strongly that it seemed by sheer force of will he broke the line twice. Adds a lot to his team getting out of their own half. No cheap shots either!
2 - William Hopoate, MAN
Is going to have to shift to the wing when Brett Stewart is back but Hopoate's footwork was a sight to behold at fullback. Great game.
1 - Glenn Stewart, MAN
Always a threat on the right edge and does his job defensively. Quality player.

NRLTweet Game Summary: Brisbane continue to show everyone they are a genuine threat; handing the Sydney Roosters a wet-weather football lesson 24-6 in Gosford.
Injuries: Matt Gillett (Foot), Tom Symonds (Knee)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Matthew Duncan
4 - Alex Glenn, BRI
Busy all game and did a lot of clean up work. Set up the first try and looked dangerous with the ball in hand. Also made 38 tackles.
2 - Jack Reed, BRI
Had a hand in both of his winger Copley's tries and made a great break of his own. Strong defensively and led the kick chase most of the night.
1 - Justin Hodges, BRI
Vintage Hodges. Got through a lot of work from dummy half and caused the Roosters headaches on the edges.
Judge: Ben Hoese
4 - Darren Lockyer, BRI
Excellent kicking game with most kicks putting pressure on the Roosters defence. Read the Roosters plays well.
2 - Jack Reed, BRI
Made up for his lack of pace with some barnstorming runs for 149m. Constantly put pressure on the defence. Had a linebreak and a try assist.
1 - Mitchell Pearce, SYD
Strong kicking and defensive game made him the only real star in a low performing Roosters outfit.

NRLTweet Game Summary: North Queensland defeat the Raiders 26-18 in Townsville but the game was over early on with the Cowboys ahead 24-6 at half-time.
Injuries: Kalifa Fai-Fai Loa (Cramp), Dallas Johnson (Shoulder)
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Justin Davies
4 - Johnathan Thurston, NQL
He was in everything like usual, setting up tries or scoring them himself. Remains the key to the Cowboys doing anything significant this season.
2 - Dallas Johnson, NQL
A rock in defence and is increasing his presence in attack.
1 - Blake Ferguson, CAN
Despite some mistakes, he was busy with his involvement and his two tries brought the Raiders back into the game.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Matthew Bowen, NQL
A level above his opposition. Ran strongly on his kick returns, kicked judiciously and made things happen in attack.
2 - Aaron Payne, NQL
This was the best game Aaron Payne has played for two seasons. Looked lively around the rucks, took the metres when offered and fed Thurston and Bowen when they wanted it.
1 - Scott Bolton, NQL
In just his second game back from injury, Bolton was a force on the edges and up the middle.

NRLTweet Game Summary: The Knights built a 24-10 lead early in the 2nd half of this one but the big story was Jason Robinson and Phil Haines refusing to use their whistles anywhere near enough as the Sharks came back.

2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Rob Neilsen

Pinpoint kicking game had the Sharks on the back foot a lot. Made some scything runs in attack.
2 - Nathan Gardner, CRO
Always a threat running the ball. Performed well at the back under pressure.
1 - Junior Sa'u, NEW
Sturdy game from the biscuit. Scored one try and his runs made plenty of metres for the Knights. Also a presence in defence.
Judge: Matt Vickers
4 - Jarrod Mullen, NEW
Controlled the game for the Knights and was the difference between the two sides. Had a sublime 5 minute period before halftime that probably decided the game.
2 - Nathan Gardner, CRO
Did everything he could to get the Sharks home. Slateresque in his support play and scored two great tries.
1 - Matt Hilder, NEW
Got through a mountain of defensive work and offered clean crisp service to his playmakers.

Injuries: TBA
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: M Tsialis
4 - Gareth Widdop, MEL
Melbourne need to re-sign him asap. Looked dangerous every time he went to the line and has formed a great combination with Cooper Cronk.
2 - Cameron Smith, MEL
Is there anything this man can't do? Arguably the best hooker in the world, tore the Panthers to shreds.
1 - Timana Tahu, PEN
The new recruit really got his team buzzing with his big hits. Had great impact off the bench.
Judge: Matt Spillane
4 - Gareth Widdop, MEL
Brilliant attacking game from Widdop. Produced 2 great linebreaks which produced points for Melbourne.
2 - Billy Slater, MEL
Typical Slater game, he was in everything. Ran for 200m+ and bagged himself a try.

Another young gun in the Storm side producing the goods. Had a tireless performance, notching up 29 tackles and several damaging runs.

Stood tall in the 1st half, making plenty of metres and creating chances. Had early ball which gave the South Sydney defence all sorts of problem.s
1 - Ben Creagh, STI
Set up one try to go with 6 offloads. Worked tirelessly on the edges and finished with 120 metres gained.
Judge: Haylen Southon
4 - Mark Gasnier, STI
It was the Gasnier of old in this one. Scored a try and created several half chances with his footwork. Great Origin preview matched up on Greg Inglis.

Came up with the play of the match by stopping Chris McQueen from scoring with sheer strength. Also set up the opening try of the game in the 67th minute.
1 - Trent Merrin, STI
Matched it against the big names of the South Sydney pack. High work rate and great metres.
