ROUND SIX OF THE NRL PREMIERSHIP SEASON 2010
FRIDAY
VTigers v Bulldogs
Bulldogs have had issues containing the opposition's pack in recent week - and defensively they are really struggling. That being said their attack still looks potent - but the Tigers still have Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah, Chris Lawrence & Lote Tuqiri... on second thoughts, why am I picking the Dogs?
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Bulldogs by 6
VTitans v Dragons
The Titans got the points over a fading Storm team last Friday night at Skilled but the Dragons will have more in their legs this week after dismissing the Broncos easily on the same night. I just don't see enough potency in the Titans attack to beat a Dragons unit that despite some injuries - get the job done. Dragons away.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Dragons by 8
SATURDAY
VKnights v Cowboys
Newcastle are specials this week... providing Kurt Gidley gets through 80 minutes in his comeback from a major hamstring injury. The Cowboys lack quality in a major way without Thurston, Bowen, O'Donnell or Payne for this one and the Knights weren't terrible against the Bunnies last week. Knights at home by quite a few.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Knights by 10
VRoosters v Raiders
Canberra were excellent against Parramatta but need to back it up when they visit the Roosters at the SFS. Ball control was the key to the Raiders win - but the Roosters are a lethal team with a fair share of possession, so if Canberra's handling goes out the window - so will their chances of victory. Take the Roosters at home in a close one.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Roosters by 4
SUNDAY
VWarriors v Panthers
Very tough game to pick given the Warriors are finding ways to win games they lost in 2009 and the Panthers are riding the coat-tails of their best players at the moment. If the Warriors had Simon Mannering, Manu Vatuvei and Steven Price - you'd be confident in them but it is the home ground advantage and the feeling that the Panthers may not travel well that makes my tip the Warriors.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Warriors by 6
VBroncos v Sharks
Brisbane get their star power back for this game with Folau, Yow Yeh and Parker all likely starters. The Sharks were terrible against Manly - a bad sign when you consider the positive vibes that came from their gutsy win over Parramatta in Round 4. Lockyer has played well in a beaten side the last two weeks and with some options to pass to in attack - go the Broncos.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Broncos by 1
VEels v Rabbitohs
Danger game if you picked the Rabbitohs like I did. Roy Asotasi and Michael Crocker may not play and the suspension of Ben Lowe is a loss for the Rabbits. Still the Eels look short of creativity in the halves and Jarryd Hayne hasn't been able to spark them to a victory since Round 2. This is a game that John Sutton needs to stand up and win if he's got any dreams of playing for NSW in the future.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Rabbitohs by 10
MONDAY
VStorm v Sea Eagles
Melbourne looked old and slow vs the Gold Coast and got run down. But they've had the best part of 10 days to recover and face a Manly side who were great against the Sharks. This game is at Etihad so expect Billy Slater to score 2 or 3 tries and watch for Greg Inglis to finally wake from his early season slumber with a huge game. Storm for mine.
> NRL Tweet's Prediction: Storm by 2
