FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
16
              V
14
7:45pm (Local) 5 August @ Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Wests Tigers led by Benji Marshall keep St.George-Illawarra's misery going, answering a late try with one of their own to win 16-14.
Injuries: Chris Lawrence (Hammy), Todd Payten (Knee), Matt Utai (Arm), Jamie Soward (Back), Beau Scott (Hammy)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Benji Marshall, WG
A magician. The Tigers finally proved that if their forwards could match St.George-Illawarra - then Marshall could finish them off. Sensational when the game was there to be won - twice.
2 - Darius Boyd, STI
Proved once again that he - not Jamie Soward - is the big play provider for the Dragons when the game is on the line. While the Dragons couldn't hold on - Boyd's pass to Brett Morris to put St.George-Illawarra ahead was sublime in how he froze Matt Utai. Ran the ball extremely hard all night.
1 - Liam Fulton, WTG
Has rediscovered some form since Simon Dwyer's injury opened up some quality game time for him and defensively he's been much better of late. Scored one try and was willing to run into half-gaps throughout the game.
Judge: Matthew Vickers
4 - Benji Marshall, WTG
Was a threat all night; shifting the ball in an attempt to find a gap in the defensive line.  Exploited a weakness in the line to set up and then score the second try and then threw one of the passes of the season to close the game out.
2 - Dean Young, STI
Have to give it to Dean Young for straightening up the attack up when he came on. He also showed the kind of starch up the middle that had been missing whilst he was out.
1 - Chris Lawrence, WTG
Every time the Tigers went left they were dangerous and difficult to contain and Lawrence was a big reason for this.
TIGERS - Tim Sheens and Robbie Farah

DRAGONS - Wayne Bennett and Ben Hornby

FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
14
              V
06
7:45pm (Local) 5 August @ ANZ Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: North Queensland finally look average without JT and a committed Canterbury team beat them comfortably 14-6. Dogs still alive.
Injuries: Ben Roberts (Thigh - late withdrawal), Josh Reynolds (Leg), Matthew Scott (Back - Late withdrawal)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Maria Tsialis
4 - Trent Hodkinson, CBY
Handled the game brilliantly with the absence of both Ben Roberts and Kris Keating. Also made 29 tackles, amazing for any halfback.
2 - Frank Pritchard, CBY
'Cranky Frank' had one of his best games of the year against the Cowboys. Made some hits that will be on highlight reels for years to come.
1 - Brent Tate, NQL
Tate is starting to look like his old self after a long layoff with injury. Will be an asset during the finals.
Judge: Greg Delaney
4 - Josh Reynolds, CBY
Terrific game from dummy half, scored the first try before creating the line break that led to the second. Also plugged the middle of the ruck with 27 tackles.
2 - Trent Hodkinson, CBY
Controlled game, has looked a lot sharper in recent weeks. One try assist and a superior kicking game helped the Dogs to a handy win. Was really targeted in defence making 31 tackles.
1 - Frank Pritchard, CBY
An inspired game by the big man. Looked dangerous all night and made an impression with some big hits in defence.
BULLDOGS - Jim Dymock and Andrew Ryan

COWBOYS - Neil Henry and Aaron Payne

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

              V
06
5:35pm (Local) 6 August @ AAMI Park, Melbourne.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Melbourne start slowly again but eventually click into gear, to all but end Penrith's playoff hopes with a 26-6 victory at AAMI Park.
Injuries: Adam Woolnough (Achilles)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Haylen Southon
4 - Billy Slater, MEL
Brilliant in defence in the first half, pulling off several try savers. Also scored a try of his own, and looked dangerous in attack.
2 - Kevin Proctor, MEL
Displayed a strong running game, and solid in defence. Also found his way onto the score sheet with Melbourne’s last try.
1 - Cameron Smith, MEL
Kicked 5 from 5 with the boot, made a line break and continued his high work rate in defence.
Judge: Ben Hoese
4 - Billy Slater, MEL
Strong attack with 1 try and 1 try assist. Came up huge in defence with 3 try saving tackles in the opening 5 minutes including two in one set.
2 - Gareth Widdop, MEL
Made his mark with his running game. Kept defence guessing and setup 2 tries.
1 - Cooper Cronk, MEL
Solid performance from the Number 7. Just does everything well in order to lead his team around the park efficiently.
STORM - Craig Bellamy and Cameron Smith

PANTHERS - Steve Georgallis and Petero Civoniceva

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
21
              V
20
7:35pm (Local) 6 August @ Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
NRLTweet Game Summary: Broncos and Warriors put on a show - the game see-sawing until a Peter Wallace field goal breaks the deadlock for Brisbane to win 21-20.
Injuries: Ben Hannant (Hip)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Matthew Duncan
4 - Jack Reed, BRI
Another big game for the rookie. Created the try that got the Broncos back in the contest and scored himself to give the Broncos the lead. Defended hard all night.
2 - Peter Wallace, BRI
Very controlled performance, built pressure well all night and then come up with the clutch play when required.
1 - Shaun Johnson, WAR
Looked dangerous all night with his footworkk and come up with a freakish try. A certain star of the future.
Judge: Craig Buchanan
4 - Darren Lockyer, BRI
Mecurial - he might be 47 but he hasn't lost anything in class, directed the Broncos to victory.
2 - Sam Thaiday, BRI
A very strong defensive performance that helped his side to stay in it when the Warriors were threatening to break out.
1 - Shaun Johnson, WAR
Played well all night, his solo effort to score the 1st try was something else.
BRONCOS - Anthony Griffin and Darren Lockyer

WARRIORS - Ivan Cleary and Simon Mannering

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
16
              V
20
7:35pm (Local) 6 August @ Toyota Stadium, Cronulla.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Cronulla's season is officially over after the Gold Coast repelled some pretty ordinary attack in the 2nd half - Titans win 20-16.
Injuries: Scott Prince (Arm)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Michael McLucas
4 - David Mead, GLD
Normally wouldn’t give the maximum to the winger but Mead's two tries including one of the best we've seen in years - deserves reward.
2 - Jordan Rankin, GLD
Starting to show his potential with some great runs and line breaks. And made some handy tackles too.
1 - Jeremy Smith, CRO
Tried hard all game, ran hard and tackled hard. Sharks were ordinary but Smith earned his pay.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - David Mead, GLD
How about that pickup for his try? Gets my four votes just for that and he was very good otherwise.
2 - Matt Srama, GLD
Quality #9 in the making. Started on the bench but once he came on the Gold Coast roll on got started and defensively he made a number of huge stops when Cronulla were poised to wrest control of the game away from the Titans.
1 - Paul Gallen, CRO
Had a real dig but it wasn't enough. Made 28 hitups for 290 metres, set up a try and broke the line twice but two incidents proved costly for the Sharks. First he went himself and slipped before the tryline to butcher a certain four points early in the game and then he lashed out in possession before halftime to gift the Titans a lead they would never relinquish.
SHARKS - Shane Flanagan and Paul Gallen
Not available.
TITANS - Steve Murphy and Luke Bailey

SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOOTBALL

              V
08
2:05pm (Local) 7 August @ AusGrid Stadium, Newcastle.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Newcastle get the 1st of 2 wins needed to make the Top 8 by dominating an uninspiring Canberra side 40-8. Mad Dog on fire.
Injuries: Isaac De Gois (Shoulder), Joel Edwards (Back), Josh Dugan (Elbow), Jarrod Croker (Thigh), Alan Tongue (Shoulder), Bronson Harrison (Shoulder - late withdrawal), Glenn Buttriss (Pectoral), Dane Tilse (Quad)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Rob Neilsen
4 - Adam MacDougall, NEW
The Mad Dog's best game in years. Terrorised the Raiders defence scoring two tries himself, and busting through to put Uate over for his first.
2 - Kurt Gidley, NEW
Pinpoint kicking, outstanding attack. Inspirational performance by the skipper setting up a multitude of tries.
1 - Akuila Uate, NEW
Another stand out performance in attack, bursting through defenders and scoring a double.
Judge: Warrick Nicolson
4 - Adam MacDougall, NEW
Vintage Mad Dog. Made Jarrod Croker look like the below average defender he is and has a quality combination on the right with Akuila Uate.
2 - Kurt Gidley, NEW
The architect of the win - went with the directive to throw the ball around despite the greasy conditions and Newcastle were untouchable for much of the contest. Involved in plenty of tries.
1 - Chris Houston, NEW
His break-out game offensively of 2011. Has been playing in a defensive role for most of the year but was asked to target the Raiders' left side defence and he obliged. Broke through on 3 occasions.

KNIGHTS - Rick Stone and Kurt Gidley

RAIDERS - David Furner and Alan Tongue

08
3:05pm (Local) 7 August @ Brookvale Oval, Brookvale.
NRLTweet Game Summary: Manly's crushing 36-8 victory over Roosters comes at a cost with a serious chest injury to Jason King. Lyon's kicking another concern.
Injuries: Jason King (Pectoral), Will Hopoate (Hammy), Steven Matai (Shoulder), Glenn Stewart (Arm), Nate Myles (Foot)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Justin Davies
4 - Glenn Stewart, MAN
He's been in super form this year and just continued that this afternoon, plays like an extra 5/8 for Manly.
2 - Steven Matai, MAN
He was at his imposing best in defence and scored twice.
1 - Daly Cherry-Evans, MAN
Steered the team around well and showed good toe with his 90 metre effort.
Judge: Matt Spillane
4 - Kieran Foran, MAN
As always, dangerous on Manly's left side attack setting up several tries and kicking game was on song.
2 - Glenn Stewart, MAN
Tireless effort as always from "Gifty". 23 tackles, 19 hit ups for 119m and a try.
1 - Tony Williams, MAN
Great impact off the bench from T-Rex. 10 runs for 109m, 1 line break and 13 tackles in only 44 minutes of game time.
SEA EAGLES - Des Hasler and Jamie Lyon

ROOSTERS - Brian Smith and Braith Anasta

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

              V
06
7:05pm (Local) 8 August @ ANZ Stadium, Sydney.
NRLTweet Game Summary: South Sydney click into gear in spectacular fashion - obliterate Parramatta 56-6 in arguably the most one-sided game of 2011. Nathan Merritt scores 5 tries in the rout.
Injuries: Reni Maitue (Virus - late withdrawal), Jordan Atkins (Neck - late withdrawal)
GAME STATS
2011 @NRLTweet Player of the Year Votes
Judge: Nigel Wilbow
4 - Nathan Merritt, SOU
The fact he scored 5 tries says it all, great game starting at fullback for the injured Rhys Wesser.
2 - Chris Sandow, SOU
Scored a wonderful try, kicked 8 from 10 and his kicking game dictated the game for the rampant Rabbitohs.
1 - Greg Inglis, SOU
Scored 2 tries, made plenty of breaks and was a massive handful for the Parramatta right side defence.
Judge: Michael McLucas
4 - Nathan Merritt, SOU
The try scoring machine added an exclamation mark to his well-earned tag with 5 brilliant tries. Popped up everywhere to create massive headaches for the Eels defence.
2 - Issac Luke, SOU
Had the Rabbitohs on the front foot all night and didn't stop. So many damaging runs from dummy half.
1 - Chris Sandow, SOU
Capitalised on the great work of his teammates to steer the red and green ship around beautifully.
RABBITOHS - John Lang, Michael Crocker and Nathan Merritt
EELS - Stephen Kearney and Nathan Hindmarsh
