The question that has to be asked is how can Rugby League be considered to be 'better than ever' when this year's State of Origin has produced two of the most abysmal games of football seen in memory?The biff between Poore and Crocker was the highlight of the night... by a stretch.
I will be exploring that and focus especially on how a mediocre competition has finally caught up with representative football's 'elite standard' and what we now see is pathetic unimaginative football at the game's highest level.
