Round 25 Tips

2014 National Rugby League Premiership
By W D Nicolson - August 27, 2014

6 from 8 last week and barring a major collapse in the final two weeks - we'll finish above 60% for the season. And you are welcome everyone - because if you followed my tips all year - you'll find yourself in the Top 2,000 on NRL.com.

If that didn't put you in a decent position in your tipping comp - then you need to join a different one next year against other people.

Quick quick tips for Round 25 - no time on our side with Thursday night footy back for the rest of the season.

The Postman's Late Mail is now - sadly - officially finished for 2014... it's out of my control, but better to be safe than sorry everyone. That's as much as I can say.

The NRL Tweet Player of the Year Voting Leaderboard is now up to date through Round 19 - the last public update until the end of Round 26.
ROUND 25 TIPS
|-| Bulldogs v Rabbitohs - Rabbitohs by 4 points.
Canterbury need 20 points I reckon to win this... so I'm tipping South Sydney.
|-| Broncos v Dragons - Broncos by 8 points.
Hopefully both teams play some footy - because whichever team doesn't will be toast for 2014.
|-| Knights v Eels - Eels by 4 points.
Sneaky suspicion the Knights win this... but Parra have so much to play for and they also have Hayne.
|-| Raiders v Tigers - Raiders by 2 points.
Meh... most interesting thing in this matchup is Mitchell Cornish starting (well maybe) at #7 and Josh McCrone being on the bench. Tigers surely have a dig this week.
|-| Roosters v Storm - Roosters by 2 points.
Best matchup of the weekend - and there are a few good'uns - Roosters get some room to play footy and they have more weapons than the Storm but Melbourne did defend very well last Monday.
|-| Warriors v Titans - Warriors by 18 points.
Simply put - if the Warriors want to show everyone they have any kind of internal resolve - they win this by 20+.
|-| Sea Eagles v Panthers - Sea Eagles by 7 points.
Manly win this and they may hold onto the Minor Premiership, lose it and they could end up in 4th if they also drop Round 26 to the Cowboys in Townsville.
|-| Cowboys v Sharks - Cowboys by 20 points.
JT is capable of cracking 20 points by himself... minimum. Good news Cronulla - the season is almost over.

The Postman's Late Mail is now on hiatus for 2014... apologies but it is out of my control.

The 'Special Fried Rice' picks have returned but given it is me v me, every week - I'll just be listing my 'SFR' of the week with the FootyTab Starts as the variation aspect to keep things interesting vs just saying 'this team will win this week - guaranteed'.

*www.wdnicolson.com makes no guarantees of decent picks every week - but we hope they are.
