#NRL 2014: National Rugby League Injured List

UPDATE:  July 22nd - Due to time constraints - the NRL Injured List will not be updated again this season. As much as we want to continue to provide this service - having missed updating it through the Origin period - it is just too much work to get back up to date when we can't guarantee we can keep it updated every week for the rest of the season.

That all said - www.wdnicolson.com will continue to post Tips but no Late Mail will be available for the rest of the season, sorry.

Round 19 Tips

2014 National Rugby League Premiership
By W D Nicolson - July 16, 2014

Okay... sorry, had the picks done Wednesday night but then Thursday was a total 'free time' write-off so here are the same tips as Wednesday... with a tiny bit of extra wording.

Lucky you right?

Sorry still no Late Mail, look for it to return in Round 20 when all the byes are done and dusted. But NRL Tweet Player of the Year Voting continues every week and we will have a final update on the leaderboard after Round 19 when all the Byes are over - a full 2 weeks after the Dally Ms go 'under wraps'. Update: we are just waiting on a few outstanding votes from Round 17 and 18 to release the Leaderboard.
ROUND 19 TIPS
Sharks v Cowboys - Cowboys by 4 points.
Cowboys have JT, the Sharks have JR... that's Jeff Robson btw.
Eels v Rabbitohs - Rabbitohs by 2 points.
Jarryd Hayne is in for a stormer... but that Bunnies pack looks too potent if George Burgess plays for Parra to keep in check... maybe.
Roosters v Panthers - Roosters by 4 points.
Could be a really good game - so get along if you are in Sydney for some afternoon footy at the SFS - going Roosters in a close one.
Storm v Raiders - Storm by 6 points.
Melbourne win this... if they don't they've got issues and Canberra might just start thinking they aren't terrible after all.
Broncos v Warriors - Broncos by 2 points.
Down to Ben Barba playing interested... which hasn't been the case for the majority of 2014 so far. Broncos need him to beat the Warriors.
Knights v Titans - Knights by 10 points.
Can only see one result here - Newcastle winning.
Tigers v Bulldogs - Tigers by 2 points.
Hopefully 40,000 get along but even with #RiseForAlex in mind... you get a sinking feeling Sydney fans will stay away for no good reason. It's foolish to pick the Tigers but I've got a feeling...
Dragons v Sea Eagles - Sea Eagles by 6 points.
Manly... but only because of my respect for their team, Saints start well and who knows?

The Postman's Late Mail is in flux... we apologise but when he can find the time to dig some up before everyone else does it on Thursday he'll bring it back.

The 'Special Fried Rice' picks have returned but given it is me v me, every week - I'll just be listing my 'SFR' of the week with the FootyTab Starts as the variation aspect to keep things interesting vs just saying 'this team will win this week - guaranteed'.

*www.wdnicolson.com makes no guarantees of decent picks every week - but we hope they are.

Round 18 Tips

2014 National Rugby League Premiership
By W D Nicolson - July 10, 2014

Yikes... 2 from 5 (but we went favourites in all games so we had plenty of company right?) last week so let's see if we can get it back with 6 games on the schedule for Round 18.

Sorry still no Late Mail, look for it to return in Round 19 when all the byes are done and dusted. But NRL Tweet Player of the Year Voting continues every week and we will have a final update on the leaderboard after Round 18 when all the Byes are over - a full 2 weeks after the Dally Ms go 'under wraps'.
ROUND 18 TIPS
Sea Eagles v Tigers - Sea Eagles by 6 points.
Manly poor two weeks in a row? The Tigers need them to be...
Warriors v Eels - Warriors by 6 points.
Hayne plays and this is back on level pegging... he's no certainty so let's go with the home team.
Storm v Bulldogs - Storm by 2 points.
Cameron Smith backs up and I stick with the Storm... he withdraws and it's Canterbury even on the road.
Titans v Raiders - Raiders by 6 points.
Bolter of the week... both struggle to score points playing 'tight' - so hopefully both coaches loosen the shackles... it is a shame Jeremy Hawkins isn't allowed to play but that's on Canberra really.
Sharks v Knights - Sharks by 2 points.
Both impressive of late... but this is in Cronulla, so Cronulla it is.
Panthers v Broncos - Panthers by 6 points.
Panthers finally impressed me last week - Brisbane can win it but even sans Wallace - Penrith's go-forward was superb last Sunday.

The Postman's Late Mail is in flux... we apologise but when he can find the time to dig some up before everyone else does it on Thursday he'll bring it back.
