It's the best photo of Peter Sterling I've ever found and believe me I've looked for the best one for a while (for those wondering, it was tracked down on Pinterest).

If it's not after the 1982 Grand Final, it then has to be after the 1983 decider. But out best guess is this is love at first sight for Sterlo after Parramatta beat Manly 21-8 at the SCG, so that'd make it 1982.

Either way it is just a brilliant moment captured in Winfield Cup history.

12 Seasons of NRL Tipping from The Postman - All Time Record

For over a decade here on www.wdnicolson.com, we have treated you (or misdirected you) to The Postman's NRL Tips. 

Although we did not post them on the blog in 2021 all games were tipped, and we published weekly tips from 2010 through 2020 (missing only 2019).

As a result we thought for posterity, we would list The Postman's tipping track record across 2,272 NRL games since the start of the 2010 Season.

Season  -  Tipping Record

2010 - 125 from 192 at 65.1%

2011 - 115 from 192 at 59.9%

2012 - 115.5 from 192 at 60.2%

2013 - 121 from 192 at 63.0%

2014 - 122 from 192 at 63.5%

2015 - 115 from 192 at 59.9%

2016 - 136 from 192 at 70.8%

2017 - 125 from 192 at 65.1%

2018 - 106 from 192 at 55.2%

2019 - 125 from 192 at 65.1%

2020 - 112 from 160 at 70.0%

2021 - 145 from 192 at 75.5%

Overall Record: 1,462.5 Tips from 2,272 NRL Games at 64.4%.

For reference - The Postman's 2021 Tipping Round by Round (only NRL Games)

8/8, 6/8, 4/8, 7/8, 5/8, 5/8, 6/8, 6/8, 6/8, 8/8, 5/8, 4/8, 3/4, 6/8, 6/8, 7/8, 3/4, 8/8, 6/8, 4/8, 7/8, 8/8, 5/8, 6/8, 6/8.

So 2021 was by far The Postman's best tipping season, although in 2010 he did win a Weber BBQ which by all reports is still fully functional!

But to be sitting at 64.4% tipping success rate after 12 seasons of NRL tipping isn't horrible.
